Perfection: How To Be The Best Version Of Yourself.

The Liebstar Award

FacebooktwitterFacebooktwitter

The Liebstar Award acknowledges and welcomes new bloggers to the online space. The nomination gives the newbies a chance to share a little bit about themselves with their readers and other bloggers. The rules are you shout out the person who nominated you and the name of their blog. Then you answer ten questions and add some more random ones about you. Then you nominate ten more bloggers and ask them ten more questions to get to know them better (it’s a mouthful,). Millicent ‘Mami-On-Fleek’ who runs mwikali.com tagged me in her Facebook post and now I get to return the favour by nominating some more bloggers. I’m hardly a new blogger but I wasn’t about to pass up this chance. Keep reading!

  1. What drives you?

Perfection. And wanting to do more and be better, because let’s face it, no one ever said they were a happy loser. I know I’m not. The upside to it is you put everything you’ve got into your work and the downside is that maybe your good is not good enough

  1. Dead or alive, who would you love to have dinner with?

At the moment I’d like to have dinner and a conversation with Amina Rabar, the K24 Alfajiri hostess. I have been following her work for about six months now and I am impressed by the brand that she is creating. She manages the different responsibilities so well and she looks like a fun person to actually chill with.

  1. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement so far?

Because I’m driven by perfection my greatest achievement to date has been learning to take a day at a time. I get quite emotional when stuff doesn’t work out like I had meticulously planned. I remember several times when I have had deep mind-numbing despair over something that was outside my control. Then I learnt how to shake things off, oh the bliss!

Its not that I don’t care anymore, its just that I’m not letting things to weigh me down.

  1. What is your dream holiday destination?

Choosing one particular spot is tricky because for me you haven’t seen the best yet. I love the world in its entirety and I’d love to see most of it before I die.

  1. Silver or Gold.

Gold, of course.

  1. What are you most afraid of?

Living without a purpose and maybe spilling tea in someones lap.

  1. What is the most defining moment in your life?

It hasn’t come yet. Though I hope I will get to experience it on a beach on a private island or something 🙂

  1. What do you love most about yourself?

Being comfortable in my own skin.

  1. What is your dream job?

I want to keep telling stories that entertain and educate people

10. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I had stories to tell and storing them up in my brain was exhausting.

Here are more random things about me…

My emoji game is on point just ask people who text me (haha)

I have this weird mole on my lip that people always think is a chunk of food so they ask me to wipe it off (haha)

I bite my nails when I’m nervous then feel guilty and groom them for months.

Reading is my favourite pass time.

I obsess over things so easily; food, movies, songs then the jazz fizzles within minutes.

I sleep my stress away.

Chocolate milkshake is the bomb.

I suck at time-keeping hence snooze my alarm three, four perhaps five times.

I am currently watching Criminal Minds which is a bore.

I have a pretty accurate sense of direction.

Now I’ll nominate some blogs whose owners’ blog consistently and have less than 200 followers. I will nominate five blogs and let you choose five more. I choose Niloticbantu, Off to See the World Better, Makodofia and Miss Turu.

Love,

G.
